Messier 34 in Perseus

This open cluster is around 1500 lightyears distant and has a diameter of approximately 15 lightyears. It is estimated to be 200-250 million years of age.

This image is the result of 1h 15m of RGB data capture from Horsham, on an evening in November 2025. A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera was used, through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien reflector.
