NGC 1647 in Taurus

This open cluster consists of almost 90 stars, the brightest of which are visible in this image. It is estimated to be 1800 lightyears away and 150 million years old.

This image is the result of 2h of RGB data capture from Horsham, over 2 evenings in March 2022. A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro monochrome camera was used, through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien Cassegrain reflector.
