Sh2-115 in Cygnus

This image shows the brightest part of the faint emission nebula SH2-115 in the constellation Cygnus. The nebula is several thousand lightyears distant, and is powered by radiation from massive stars in the open cluster Berkely 90. This star cluster is to the upper right of the nebula.

This Hydrogen Alpha image is the result of 2.5h of data capture from Horsham, over two evenings in October and November 2021. A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera was used, through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien Cassegrain reflector.
