NGC 7380 star cluster and Wizard Nebula in Cepheus

These images are the result of 4.5h of narrowband data capture, on an evening September 2021. It consisted of three 1.5h periods of data capture through H-alpha, Oxygen-III and Sulphur-II filters, respectively.

The result is three very different images, with different mapping of the narrowbands to RGB. The image on the left is the most realistic, with Ha mapped to red. The image on the far right uses a Hubble palette, with Ha mapped to green. Different features of the wizard figure can be seen most clearly, in different images.

A ZWO ASI2600MM Pro camera was used through an 8-inch Teleskop-Service Ritchey-Chretien reflector, from Horsham.
