NGC 6384 in Ophiuchus

NGC is a weakly-barred spiral galaxy around 77 million lightyears away. With a diameter of 138,000 lightyears, it is significantly larger than our galaxy and roughly twice the size of the average spiral.

This LRGB image is the result of 1h12m of data capture in May 2021, remotely imaged from Spain with an SBIG STL-6303 camera through a 12.5-inch Planewave CDK reflector.
