Messier 96 in Leo

This is approx 31 million lightyears away, being roughly the same size as our Milky Way galaxy at 100,000 lightyears. Note the extended outer halo, which on it's edge at the upper left includes an edge-on spiral galaxy, 700 million lightyears distant.

This image is the result of just over 2h of data capture, over three evenings in April 2020.
