Messier 102 in Draco
This is either a lenticular galaxy with an unusual dust lane, or an edge-on spiral. If a spiral and viewed face on, any spiral arms would be faint and ill-defined.
Also known as the Spindle Galaxy, it is 44 million lightyears distant and 60,000 lightyears in diameter.
This image is the result of 3h of data capture, over two evenings in March and April 2020.
