IC 342 in Camelopardalis

This is a good-sized spiral galaxy at 60,000 lightyears in diameter and close at 10 million lightyears. It subtends around 20 arcminutes, so on the face if it appears to be an easy target to image. But it is also heavily obscured by dust and gas in the plane of the Milky Way.

This is the result of a total of 5h of data capture over 3 nights in October 2019, followed by some heavy processing.
