NGC 4565 Needle Galaxy and environs
NGC 4565 Needle Galaxy (mag 9.6), NGC 4555 (top left elliptical; mag 12.1) and NGC 4562 (top right spiral; mag 13.5), all in Coma Berenices. There is a reasonable amount of detail in the NGC 4565 dust lanes, for a 4-inch refractor.
The Needle Galaxy in Coma Berenices is one of the finest edge-on galaxies in the sky.
